The Foundation for European Progressive Studies, the Fondation Jean Jaurès and the Karl-Renner-Institut are organising their 7th annual EU-Israel international seminar, on the topic of ‘Old Wounds, New Realities’.
The conference will be held in Tel Aviv, on 6-7 November 2021, at the Institute for National Security Studies (INSS), and is organised with the support of the Macro Center for Political Economics, the Israel office of the Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung, the Amicus Europae Foundation, and the INSS.
The seminar will bring together distinguished decision-makers and policy experts from Europe and Israel, providing an ideal opportunity to discuss and analyse how the opportunities and challenges that exist in the bilateral relationship can be best tackled in the future.
It will focus on three sets of key issues:
- An unsustainable status quo: The EU and the changed political landscape in Israel- Palestine
- A widening regional outlook: Israel, the EU and the Eastern Mediterranean
- A new power chessboard: Israel the EU, and other major powers
