Erik Bjørsted (ECLM) points out that the gap between unemployment among low skilled workers compared with the overall unemployment rate has doubled since 2008. Many of the low skilled jobs within the EU are probably lost forever and they also have fever job possibilities and are therefore more likely to become long-term unemployed. More attention must be paid to this sector in the economic debate to stop this increasing inequality.
