23rd February 2016. FEPS Office, Brussels.
First of the Next Social Europe lunch-debates series, this FEPS event is intended to shed light on the widely discussed topic of a basic income for all. Academics and MEPs will address the following questions:
- Why is basic income preferable to current or proposed minimum income schemes?- How should such a scheme be designed to be effective and at the same time politically and financially feasible?
The debate will also provide some insights of the current experiment conducted in Utrecht and presented by Professor Loek Groot of Utrecht University.
