In Memory of Inder Kumar Gujral (1919-2012)

Inder Kumar Gujral, a moderate leftist and former Foreign and Prime Minister of India, was the architect of a policy, which envisaged concessions by India towards its smaller neighbours in South Asia, without endangering national security. The Gujral doctrine still characterizes India’s foreign policy in the region.
